Here are all of Ken and Vicky's grandchildren as of 7.4.09 I have a good feeling that this is going to be a rapidly growing bunch in the next few years.

Emaline is very serious about bath time as you can see. So serious in fact that she hijacked her new cousin's tub and ruined the water for him. That's Dane in the background waiting to get his tub back.

Ready for church

Emaline went to church for the first time on Father's Day. She did really well with the exception of a few grown man quality gastric outbursts. Having a baby has taught me first hand that we are born into this world with a clean slate. Whatever we knew before we came to this life is hidden from us at birth. But I couldn't help but feel as we dressed Emaline on Sunday that something inside of her was overjoyed to know that she had been born to a family that would get her to church as soon as possible. It was a great 1st Father's Day!

She finally lost the crunchy remnant of her umbilical cord. A day or so later this cute little flesh colored cinnamon roll showed up. And the Cookie Monster is just out of reach.

Emaline welcomes Baby Dane!

Emaline traveled to San Antonio today to say hi to her new cousin Dane. We lettered a onesie for her with a welcoming message. Unfortunately she had a blow out before meeting him and the outfit had to be quickly washed so that we could get these priceless pictures. Congratulations Melissa & Dustin!

Born with a tail

Look at all of this hair! It's a tiny baby mullet.

Not long after she was born she went over 24 hours without eating or having any dirty diapers. We were concerned, took her to the doctor and discovered that she had lost 10% of her birth weight. They fixed us up with a contraption that has her eating like a pro. She gained 1/2 lb the first day. Most of which seems to have settled in her right arm. Look at that chunky little thing!

Good Report

Emaline went to the doctor today for a check-up. She is perfectly healthy and very tall. Doc says she is in the 97 percentile for height at 22". If you have a tape measure handy have a look at 22", pretty amazing for 12 day old baby. She now weighs 9lbs 1oz.
